April 2020: Her Opera, Her Life – Joanna is a new book giving a personal insight into the legacy of Joanna Wong and her work in promoting and teaching the art of Cantonese Opera. The book covers her performances, her creative interpretations, and tributes from her proteges and student. Written by Ms Choo Mui Eng with Dr Chua Ee Kiam as the artistic consultant, the book was launched in April 2020. Proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) Tooth Fairy Fund, which provides financial support for needy patients requiring dental care and other financial support programmes as well as research and education under the SingHealth Duke-NUS Oral Health Academic Clinical Programme to advance the delivery of medicine for better care.
