Mrs Wong’s students portrayed her iconic roles in the opening song, which featured most of the 70-strong cast of performers. 
Excerpts from Mrs Wong’s famous opera performances were introduced by ‘backstage’ scenes of her students preparing for the stage. 

One of Mrs Wong’s first students, Anne Chung, introduces costumes self-designed by Mrs Wong and worn by her more than 30 years ago, modelled by Eunice Mak (centre) and Choo Mui Eng (right). 
Mrs Wong delighted audiences in the excerpt from The Naughty Princess. 

Au Yeong Peng Mun demonstrates how to wear the special shoes for ‘bound feet’ performance. Mrs Wong learnt how to perform in these tiny shoes years ago. 
Behind Peng Mun is a photo of Mrs Wong performing in the ‘bound feet’ shoes. 
Jeslin Cheong learnt the art of performing in ‘bound feet’ from Mrs Wong. 
Demonstrating her versatility, Mrs Wong portrays the lady general Mu Guiying. 
Emotion-filled speech by Mrs Wong thanking her students, audiences, and urging all to remember the Chinese saying “yin shui si yan” (饮水思源) – to remember one’s roots and have gratitude.
